I-70 is an immersive song by Rew and thoughtForm, where haunting strings swell alongside wails from highway traffic. Rew began with field recordings from under an I-70 overpass in Columbus, Ohio. These atmospheres were sent to thoughtForm, who improvised along with them on the harmonic lap fiddle, a homemade instrument inspired by sarangi and erhu. Rew then added volca fm melodies and sculpted a world where tremulous noise holds space for bright chimes and singing birds.

The teaser 3D animation for I-70 shows a gray area with moving drone imagery and floating reeds. Nature inserts itself back into urban space, adding gentleness to the noise.
